Samsara is a concept in Buddhist philosophy that describes the cycle of death and rebirth, existence and annihilation from the human level to Nirvana.

These different forms of birth are known as the birth of higher beings. While this cycle of life and death may be perceived as distinct, according to Buddhist belief, the goal is to break free from this cycle.

The karmic account is transferred to the state of the person at the time of rebirth.
